Corrugated Cardboard Boxes
Cardboard boxes for posting small, rigid or fragile items that need more protection than a mailing bag. We currently stock two small brown postal boxes, made in the UK and sold in packs of 20: a 152 x 127 x 95mm box for candles, mugs and gift sets, and a shallow 185 x 150 x 55mm box in B-flute corrugated board with tuck-in flaps for jewellery, cosmetics and accessories. Postal box size guide

Both boxes are deeper than 25mm, so they post as a Royal Mail Small Parcel (up to 450 x 350 x 160mm) rather than a Large Letter.
Sealing and protecting
The tuck-in flaps hold the 185mm box closed, but tape adds security in the post: seal with paper packing tape or gummed tape. Fill any gaps so the item cannot move; for bottles, jars and glasses, see our void fill.
Box or mailing bag?
Use a box for rigid or fragile items. For clothing and soft goods, a paper mailing bag is lighter and flatter, which usually lowers postage.
