Why 90gsm Clairefontaine paper?

Clairefontaine’s 90gsm white vellum is a smooth paper that suits ballpoint, gel and fountain pens, and takes fountain pen without show-through on most inks. It is heavier than standard 80gsm copier paper.

Which notebook size?

A4 gives the most writing space and suits meetings, lectures and project work where notes are filed alongside A4 documents. A5 is half the size, light enough to carry every day for students, meetings and everyday notes. A6 is pocket-sized, for to-do lists, quick notes and lists on the go.

A2 sketch pad

The Clairefontaine A2 sketch pad (ref 96601C) holds 50 wirebound sheets of 90gsm paper, each micro-perforated so finished work tears out cleanly. It is sized for art rooms, design studios and architecture students, and takes pencil, charcoal and felt tip.

Double spiral binding

Double-spiral wire binding lets each notebook open completely flat, or fold back on itself to write on one page. Every page is micro-perforated, so it tears out with a clean edge for filing or handing in.
